Hi Everybody!
I’m so behind on my blogging that I can look behind and see my face. But I have a good excuse!
I have A-Fib (you can google it) and went to get an ablation (google that one, too). The surgeon says he’s worried it might not take or keep the A-Fib from returning, but…
Love doctors with that ‘But…”
He says there’s this new pacemaker that keeps the electrical impulses where they’re supposed to be. Or something like that. But it’s so tiny it goes inside the heart. That sounds cool, sign me up! So that’s what I did. Of course (and this is absolutely true) I didn’t know what using a groin vein to get it to my heart actually entailed. Like, I’d have a big ole hole down there. And then the doctor comes and tells me I don’t have a normal human heart. WTF does that mean? Is it like a monkey heart or something? It’s congenital; the largest artery is messed up or going in wrong or something. Why do they try to tell you these things when you’re coming off the most fabulous anesthesia trip imaginable. He still wanted to ablate part of my heart but he had to come out and go in another way. But it’s done. I still can’t believe that problem has nothing to do with my overall heart problems, but then, I write books, I don’t operate on hearts. Anyway, all that is behind me. I got a new incumbent bike to start working on strengthening my new equipment, and I do feel better now.
I haven’t heard back from too many of you regarding the length of Summerbird’s Quest (approx 1500 pgs). But some readers have put it out that maybe I should break up the book into two. Has anyone taken a look at it? If you get this far and would like to look it over while thinking about it in those terms, send me an email at binderzoo21@gmail.com titled, “TRIM DOWN SUMMBERBIRD,” and I’ll send the first twenty-five who contact me a free copy of the ebook. You can’t imagine how much work that would be, but if people look at the length and think, no way, then that’s depriving everyone of a wonderfully epic tale, heehee. I’d love to hear from you! Bye for now!
